Part time Research Assistant position, University of Copenhagen, editorial assistance for Physics in Perspective

We seek a research assistant for Richard Staley, professor in History of Science at the Department of Science Education at the University of Copenhagen (and in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at Cambridge).  The research assistant’s primary task will be to provide editorial assistance for the journal Physics in Perspective. Working under the direction of Editors in Chief Joseph Martin and Richard Staley and housed at the Niels Bohr Archive and Department of Science Education in Copenhagen, the RA will be expected to process initial submission, provide copy editing for accepted manuscripts, and communicate with submitting authors. The processing of manuscripts will be conducted in liaison with the Editors. The position will provide experience valuable for further work in academic research and editorial publishing careers.

The appointee may also provide research assistance in the history of physics.

Working hours are flexible but amount to 6-8 hours a week for up to 2,5 years. Distance working may to some extent be an option.
