The Emerging Scholars Committee aims to support early career scholars (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career researchers) as well as those new to business history by organizing professional development and networking opportunities.
In Spring 2022, the ESC will organize both an in-person networking reception at the Mexico City conference and a virtual mentoring program, which will pair emerging scholars with established community members based on shared research interests and professional goals. Early career scholars can indicate one of five mentoring tracks (Publishing, Job Market, Research Methods, Teaching, and Alt-Academic Careers) on which basis they will be matched with established scholars for a one-on-one virtual mentoring session to take place in the month prior to the BHC spring meeting.
Prospective mentees and volunteer mentors should indicate their interest in the 2022 Mentoring Program by completing the following short survey by 15 January 2022
