The Executive Summary - 11/29 - 12/3

A weekly roundup of articles and other materials of interest to scholars of business and economic history.

This week the Executive Summary recognizes the ongoing strikes in higher education across the UK. For those not based in the UK, you can read more about what your colleagues are striking for here and here. Normal research updates will resume next week.

However, I would like to offer a friendly reminder to PhD students that you have one week left to apply for the BHC's 2022 Doctoral Colloquium which (fingers crossed) will be held in sunny Mexico City. Applications are due Dec. 10. Your Associate Editor is an (esteemed?) alum of the colloquium and is happy to respond to curious inquiries or questions about whether you should apply (hint: you should apply).

Send all comments, suggestions, leads, and ideas for this section to Associate Editor Ashton Merck. Supply chain delays may continue to affect the timely delivery of the Executive Summary during this holiday season. Thanks for your understanding.
