The Political Economy Tokyo Seminar (PoETS) is a monthly English-language research seminar hosted at the University of Tokyo. The seminar brings together historians from Japan and around the world to explore the economy in its relationships with broader social environments such as politics, businesses, science, media, gender, and everyday life. The seminar convenes online regularly on the first or second Tuesday of the month at 5 pm (Japan Standard Time).
