I woud like to invite those who are able to attend the 2nd annual Borderlands History Conference at the University of Texas at El Paso this coming February 10-11 in El Paso, Texas.  The theme for this year's conference is "Shifting Borders: Gender, Family, and Community."  A number of scholars from the United States and Mexico will converge in El Paso to participate in this event.  Our Keynote Speaker, Sonia Hernández, will present "A transnational feminist(s) network of women: From Tampico, to south Texas and beyond, 1900-1940."  Dr. Hernández is an Associate Professor of History at Texas A&M University, author of Working Women into the Borderlands, and collaborator for the “Refusing to Forget” preservation and public history project.
