In Memoriam: William Pencak

At the request of my friend and colleague George Boudreau of Penn State Harrisburg, I post this tribute to the late William Pencak.  I only got to meet Bill Pencak once, but I long followed his fine work on Ameican colonial and revolutionary history and many other topics.  He was truly a scholar and a gentleman.

George Boudreau's tribute to William Pencak appears below my signature line.
