NEH Summer Institute on the Civil Rights Movement at Fannie Lou Hamer Institute, Jackson State

The Fannie Lou Hamer Institute at Jackson State University is now accepting applications for its 2014 National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute for College and University Faculty entitled "Mississippi in the National Civil Rights Narrative.” This institute will examine how a focus on the local narrative of change both enhances and challenges the national story that is most frequently presented in classrooms.
