Call for Submissions: Teaching Lower Division History Courses
The History Teacher seeks submissions that examine the challenges and successes of teaching lower-division history courses in their many different formats (AP classes, dual enrollment courses, community college GE classes, and lower-division courses four-year colleges). How do we best prepare students to succeed in lower-division history courses? What role can and should lower-division history courses play in developing students’ skills to succeed in college? What are some innovative teaching methods and support programs that are helping students enrolled in lower-division history courses? What kinds of online teaching strategies have proven useful in the history classroom?

The History Teacher is looking for articles that speak to these and related questions. We particularly welcome submissions that explore evidence of student learning. Deadline for manuscripts: March 1, 2021.
