I am looking to put together a panel for the Southern Historical Association Annual Meeting in Louisville in November 2019 that will discuss women's organizations or female collective social and political activism in the 19th and 20th-century South.
My paper will focus on Protestant women's benevolence, temperance, and missionary organizations in the Gulf South in the decades leading up to the Civil War. The panel could also address religious or political activism more broadly.
If you are interested in participating as a paper presenter or commentaror, please email me directly by Friday September 7, 2018 at email@example.com
