Publisher: Jefferson, NC: McFarland & Co., Inc., Pub., 2016.
Sandra Weber is an independent scholar who lives in New York. Using primary sources, she chronicles the story of the "Portrait Monument to Lucretia Mott, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and Susan B. Anthony" from the early twentieth century, its unveiling ceremony in 1921 and installation in the Crypt of the U.S. Capitol Building, and finally its relocation to the Rotunda in 1997. The monument was sculpted in marble by Adelaide Johnson - with funding raised by Alva Vanderbilt Belmont for the National Woman's Party.
