This biography focuses on the first woman elected to the Colorado State Senate - and only the second woman elected to any state sentate in the U.S., serving from 1913-17. Robinson worked to bring progressive change to women's rights in the state and served as a leader in the national women's suffrage movement as well as for peace. She was a popular speaker nationally and her publications included Preparing Women for Citizenship (New York, 1918). Pat Pasco is a professional writer and former teacher who served twelve years in the Colorado State Senate. Watch Sen.
