At 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, Mayor Linda Gorton, Governor Martha Layne Collins, Dudley Webb, Court of Appeals Judge Pamela Goodwine, and Councilmembers Jennifer Mossotti and Kathy Plomin will have important announcements about the “Breaking the Bronze Ceiling” monument, which will recognize the historical contributions of women in Fayette County.

 

The news conference, which will feature a song from the Kentucky Woman Suffrage Project, will be held at the Lexington Financial Center (Big Blue Building) Plaza near the corner of Vine and Mill streets.
