Annotation: Published to commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, One Woman, One Vote is a collection of essays by a range of notable American historians.  The scope of the volume is broad in terms of geography and chronology.  Several authors discuss the contributions of national leaders while others examine the suffrage struggle in specific states.  The volume also includes two essays on the contributions of African-American women to the suffrage movement.  In addition, several essays address the disagreements over goals and strategies (such as whether or not to support the federal constitutional amendment) that created divisions among suffragists.
