Kentucky Woman Suffrage Lane in Frankfort - campaign led by Women Suffragist Centennial Chorus

Randolph Hollingsworth (she/her) Blog Post

Did you know that Frankfort activists are building a "Kentucky Woman Suffrage Lane" with street banners?

Sylvia Coffey of the Women Suffragist Centennial Chorus wrote to tell us that they have been working on this since 2019. They have nine banners so far (click on the name to read the suffragist's KWSP biosketch):

They anticipate mounting at least two more for this coming year's Women's Suffrage Day celebrations in Frankfort with the banners up through the month of August:

Each banner is 30" wide by 84" long and depends on sponsorships to fund the expense of creating and mounting them each year. See the example of Madeline McDowell Breckinridge's banner below. Contact Sylvia Coffey in Frankfort if you are willing to help with this wonderful initiative.
