The Editorial Board of Urbana-Urban Affairs & Public Policy is searching for a Guest Editor for its issue to be published in Dec 2020.

Urbana is a peer-reviewed, open access and interdisciplinary academic journal focusing on the urban realm. It is an independent, small publication which is being published regularly for more than 15 years. Urbana operates without a paid staff and without a commercial sponsor. Urbana offers the opportunity for scholars worldwide to disseminate their research on urban issues. Our editorial board members are scholars from different disciplines, working in different countries and with vast teaching and research experience.

For the 2018 issue (recently published), the editorial board invited a guest editor located in Brazil. Dr. Cristina Araújo Lima (Professor, Universidade Federal do Paraná) produced a fine dossier - The Latin American City - with scholarly contributions from Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Mexico.

We are planning now another special issue whose theme should be identified by the Guest Editor. To comply with the indexing agencies requirements, the issue must be published no later than Dec 15, 2020.

In addition to the theme, a guest editor is also responsible for the recruitment of authors for five articles, for the external peer review process and the copy-editing. Since the dossier is a thematic special issue, the guest editor may want write a brief introduction.

Expressions of interest, sent by email, should include the professional affiliation, research and teaching interests, and a brief bio highlighting publications and command of foreign languages (if any). Please submit by March 1, 2019.
We appreciate your attention and look forward to hearing from you soon.
