The Institute of Religious Studies at Leipzig University seeks
applicants for a three-year doctoral position (75%) beginning on
February 1, 2020, within the research project "When Healing Fails:
Kognitive Dissonanz und Faktoren der Resilienz bei gescheiterten
religiösen Heilungen. Eine vergleichende Studie dreier lokaler
Christentümer" (When Healing Fails: Cognitive Dissonances and Factores
of Resilience in the Case of Failed Religious Healings. A Comparative
Study of Three Local Christianities).
ASPIRANTUM - School of languages and cultures invites international participants to apply and take part in Persian, Armenian and Russian language winter schools to be organized from December 1 till December 21, 2019 in Yerevan, Armenia. Each language winter school offers 60 hours of intensive language classes during 15 days of teaching (from Monday till Friday each week). Every day the participants will receive a language instruction for 4 hours.

The Social Science Research Council has launched a Global Scholars Initiative designed to strengthen the English-language writing skills of Asian scholars working in Asia and to increase their success in publishing articles in English-medium journals. With support from the Henry Luce Foundation, the SSRC is exploring ways to support English-language journals published in Asia as a part of this effort.
