CFA: M.A. in Contemporary East Asian Studies, University of Kansas
The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) at University of Kansas (KU) is accepting applications for Spring, Summer and Fall 2022 admission to our MA program in Contemporary East Asian Studies. This program is an interdisciplinary degree focused on East Asia, designed to prepare students for 21st-century global citizenship. This program provides students with in-depth interdisciplinaryknowledge of a selected East Asian country (China, Korea, or Japan), a broad knowledge of modern East Asia, and social science and humanistic research skills and methods appropriate to international area studies.
Since 1959, the Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) at the University of Kansas has been a designated Title VI National Resource Center for the study of East Asian languages and cultures. With over sixty affiliated faculty members, we offer more than 250 courses fully or partially devoted to East Asia. KU is situated in Lawrence, Kansas, and is a vibrant college town. The state's flagship university has many resources for academic support. Lawrence has an active arts community, and there are many opportunities for cultural engagement, health & wellness activities, and professional development.
