The International Journal of Social Quality is Open Access!
Berghahn is delighted to announce that The International Journal of Social Quality has flipped to Open Access starting with the 2021 volume thanks to the generous support from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
By making this important research publicly available, we will increase the journal’s readership and impact across a wider community. In addition, there are no submission or article processing charges (APCs) for authors of articles published under the Knowledge Unlatched Select arrangement, resulting in no direct charges to authors.
The first Open Access volume will be a Covid-themed double issue publishing this fall. Some of the articles include:
Allison A Parsons et al. Social Connectedness and Isolation in the Time of COVID: A Qualitative Study in the US
Krish Chetty. The social Impact of COVID-19 in South Africa
Paul R Ward et al. Conditions and Considerations of Trust through Pandemic Uncertainty: A Qualitative Study of Midlife Women During COVID-19 in South Australia
Mario Ivan López and Ohno Shun. Viral Disruption and Labor Rearrangement: The Impact of COVID-19 on the Procurement of Migrant Healthcare Workers for Japan
Liang Benfan and Zhao Changjie. Changes in Development Direction and Mode of Urban Agglomeration in the "Pandemic Era"
Sony Pellissery et al. Quality of Health Care in the Largest Democracy: A Moral Foundation Theory view on Societal Impact due to COVID
Tony Bradley et al. Mapping localism: The British Geography of Resilience and Civil Society Activism (in Respect of Social Quality) in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
