The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania seeks to appoint a part-time lecturer for two courses, one in fall semester 2015 and one in spring semester 2016, in the field of modern Chinese literature. Candidates should have the doctoral degree in hand by the time of the appointment. We welcome expertise in critical theory, transnational approaches, and cinema studies. Applicants should possess native or near-native fluency in Chinese, as well as a record of promising, innovative scholarship. Evidence of excellence in teaching is desirable.
