The postdoctoral researcher on immigration in contemporary China will chiefly be responsible for the project Immigrants in China: reactions and debates. The researcher will also be involved in the project The social position of foreign residents in Beijing in cooperation with Peking University. The two projects are part of the research cooperation Immigration and the Transformation of Chinese Society under the Europe-China Collaborative Research Programme on Understanding Population Change.

We offer a fixed-term position from June 2015 through May 2016, with a possible extension of another one or two years until May 2017 or May 2018. The salary range for a postdoctoral researcher is from € 3.324,- to € 4.551,- gross per month (pay scale 11), commensurate with qualifications, with substantial additional holiday and end-of-year bonuses.
