Visiting Assistant Professor, East Asian Art History

The Department of Art History at Indiana University, Bloomington invites applications for a full-time, one-semester, non-tenure-track, visiting assistant professor position for the Fall 2020 term. The position will begin August 24, 2020 and end December 18, 2020. We seek an individual with expertise in East Asian art history. The successful candidate will have a PhD in hand by the start of the appointment, and will teach two courses: an introductory level “East Asian Buddhist Art” course, and a combined undergraduate/graduate course, “Art and Archaeology of Early China.” These courses may meet in person, be taught remotely or online, or convert from one to the other, at the discretion of Indiana University, depending on circumstances at the time of instruction. This position will be compensated with a $30,000 salary as well as a university benefit package.
