This is a PhD topic that is quite open to interpretation, using Chinese texts and archaeological evidence, and includes training in magnetometry with three years of fieldwork (spring-summer season). We'll consider candidates from a range of disciplinary backgrounds, including history, archaeology, Chinese studies, and others.
