The judges of the Royal Asiatic Society's Bayly Prize are pleased to announce that the winner of this year's prize is Lexi Stadlen, from the London School of Economics, for her dissertation entitled, Weaving Lives from Violence: Possibility and Change for Muslim Women in West Bengal.
The Bayly Prize, established by the Royal Asiatic Society in memory of Professor Sir Christopher Bayly, is awarded annually for a distinguished PhD thesis completed at a UK university in the field of Asian Studies.
