Position - Modern Asian Studies - Assistant or Associate Professor - Haifa University

The Department of Asian Studies at The University of Haifa invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant and Associate Professor level (Martze, Martze Bachir) on Modern Asia Studies. 

Scholars whose research focuses on modern Asia in any of Humanities and Social Science disciplines,  are invited to apply. Although we will be happy to consider all excellent applications, we are particularly interested in scholars whose research focuses on one particular culture/nation in Asia or on a trans-national, regional topic in the disciplines of Economics, Political Science, Business Management, Political Economy and International Relations.

The successful candidate will be joining a young, friendly and vibrant department that cultivates a vigorous research culture.

Applicants must have a completed Ph.D., or be near completion (to be completed in autumn 2015 at the latest), and have a minimum of two peer reviewed publications. They should demonstrate considerable promise in research  and scholarly achievements. Teaching experience is a plus.
