The Department of East Asian Studies at New York University seeks to fill two full-time, non tenure-track Japanese Language Lecturer positions with appointments beginning on September 1, 2015, pending budgetary and administrative approval. The initial appointment is for a minimum of one year with the possibility of multi-year renewals contingent on successful reviews. Minimum Qualifications: MA in linguistics, applied linguistics, Japanese language and literature, language pedagogy, or related field; native/near-native proficiency in Japanese and English. Duties include three courses per semester and active involvement in program development.

Interested candidates should send a cover letter, current CV, statement on teaching philosophy (as it applies to courses from the introductory to advanced level), and three letters of recommendation.
