The Department of Asian Studies at The University of Haifa (Israel) invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant and Associate Professor level (Martze, Martze Bachir) on Modern Asia Studies.  Scholars whose research focuses on modern Asia in any  of humanities and social sciences disciplines, are warmly invited to apply. We are particularly interested (although we would be happy to consider all excellent applicants) in scholars whose research focuses on a specific culture/nation in Asia or on trans-national, regional topics in the disciplines of Business Management, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Political Economy.

The successful candidate will be joining a young, friendly and vibrant department that cultivates a vigorous research culture.

Applicants must have a completed Ph.D., or be near completion (to be completed in autumn 2015 at the latest), and have a minimum of two peer reviewed publications. They should demonstrate considerable promise in research  and scholarly achievements. Teaching experience is a plus.
