The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for a tenure-track position in Modern Korean Culture and Society at the rank of assistant professor. We welcome applicants in any discipline of the humanities, and qualitative social sciences, including candidates who integrate their research and teaching of Korean Studies with multidisciplinary and interregional expertise. The start date is August 16, 2020.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  We seek a promising scholar and teacher who will actively contribute to the intellectual mission of our department through teaching, research, and building our Korean studies program.
