The Faculty of Arts seeks to appoint a senior scholar in Buddhist Studies. The ideal candidate will be a world-leading academic with a commitment to excellence in teaching and an established record of research and publications in his/her area of expertise. Capacity in one or more classical Buddhist languages (Chinese, Sanskrit and/or Tibetan) and expertise in Buddhist philosophy (especially Abhidharma and Yogācāra) would be distinct advantages.
