Panel participants for the First Biennial Conference on Iranian Studies: Historic and Contemporary relations of Iran with Asia & Oceania

We are inviting participants to a panel focusing on "Historic and Contemporary relations of Iran with Asia & Oceania: An Interdisciplinary Approach". Here the term Asia refers to its classical and academic definition which too includes South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia. The themes include but are not limited to contemporary history, sociology, political science, religions and theology, art, international relations, new media and communication studies, and Diaspora studies. Interdisciplinary approaches and comparative studies are particularly welcomed. The languages of the panel will be in English, and/or Farsi-Persian.

The conference will take place on the 10th and 11th of November 2019 in the Faculty of World Studies, University of Tehran. The venue in Tehran will provide an ideal opportunity for scholars to establish network and exchange ideas to gain first-hand knowledge of Iran's rich culture and civilization including history, customs, tradition, religion, language and everyday life. Upon peer-review process, selected papers will be published in an edited volume (special issue) by Journal of World Sociopolitical Studies, University of Tehran.
