Announcing new H-Asia editors

Ryan Dunch Discussion

We are happy to announce the addition of two new editors to the H-ASIA team, Emilia Bachrach and Aaron Mulvany.

They will join Monika Lehner and Ryan Dunch as network editors. We also have Sumit Guha, reviews editor, and Ming-Te Pan, subscriptions manager. Linda Dwyer and three new editors are in various stages of training for the Commons.

Most of the H-Asia content over the past couple of months has been of the announcement variety, but we continue to welcome and encourage questions and topics that you would like to raise for discussion among H-Asia's nearly 8,000 members. If you have difficulty navigating the new system please contact one of the editors directly or via the general email address <editorial-asia@mail.h-net.msu.edu> for assistance.

Also, a reminder to add information to your profile in the Commons so readers can find you -- see here for instructions and links.

Greetings H-Asia,

I am writing to introduce myself as a new editor for our network. As a part of the editorial team I am particularly eager to work on projects that will help to build an annotated archive of syllabi, teaching guides, reading lists in particular fields, and an archive of images that could be used in the classroom. I look forward to your input on these projects as I move ahead.

I have just completed my PhD in Asian Cultures and Languages from the University of Texas at Austin where I focused on South Asian religions and Hindi and Gujarati literature. My ongoing research considers changing practices of religious reading and scriptural interpretation in Hindu devotional communities of north and west India (from the late medieval period to the present). In the coming academic year I will be teaching and conducting further research as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Religious Studies at Millsaps College.

I look forward to serving H-Asia!

Regards,

Emilia Bachrach
