The Department of Asian Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is glad to announce our next international conference, "Officers, Adventurers and Statesmen: Reconsidering Militarism in Twentieth Century Japan", with leading scholars from the United States, Europe, Australia, Japan and Israel. The Conference will take place in Mount Scopus Campus, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. All panels are free and open to the public. The Department of Asian Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is the oldest in Israel and is one of the biggest departments in the Faculty of Humanities, home to over 300 students specializing in Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Indian Studies.
