Hamilton College, Asian Studies Program
Asia and the Environment

The Asian Studies Program at Hamilton College invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in any discipline for a scholar working on Asia and the environment at the rank of Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2017. Candidates with a Ph. D. are preferred, although ABDs will be considered. Applicants must possess a demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching, and mastery of a relevant Asian language. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching and working with diverse student populations. Your cover letter should address ways in which you raise issues of diversity in your teaching and scholarship. Now in its fourteenth year, the Asian Studies postdoctoral program at Hamilton seeks to foster a cooperative milieu in which post-docs can develop as teacher-scholars in a liberal arts environment conducive to interdisciplinary thinking.
