The Yonsei Journal of International Studies (YJIS) is a biannual interdisciplinary journal affiliated with the Center for International Studies and run by the Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies in Seoul, South Korea. The YJIS welcomes submissions from all scholars, especially graduate students and junior professors that fall within the diverse field of International Studies.

We are currently accepting submissions for the upcoming 2018 Spring/Summer issue!

The YJIS encompasses a wide scope of varying disciplines and methodologies, but each issue will attempt to be thematic. The YJIS is divided into three sections, in addition to an interview section managed by the editing staff.

PAPERS
This section includes feature-length articles of original research and must include proper citations. Papers should range from 3,000 to 8,000 words.

ESSAYS
This section includes essays that take stances on issues and develop sophisticated arguments in the form of editorials, recommendations, and reflections. Essays should range from 1,500 to 3,000 words.

REVIEWS
This section focuses on evaluations and reviews of existing arguments contained in essays, articles, and books, in addition to policy reviews or previously published material in the YJIS. Reviews should be no longer than 2,000 words.

All submissions must be formatted in Microsoft Word and include an abstract. Please adhere to the online submission guidelines. Submissions can be sent via email to editor@theyonseijournal.com.
