In 2010, George Mason University hosted a conference titled "The New South-South Dynamic in Global Affairs: A Changing World Order?" The Global Affairs Seminar at Mason will revisit this conference with an afternoon of panel discussions focused on investment and development aid. This event is open to the public.

The International Society for Academic Research on Shamanism (ISARS) and the Program of Anthropology, Institute of Sociology, UC, invites you to attend the 3rd international conference of ISARS which will be held at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Santiago, Chile in November 27-30, 2019.

East Asia Seminar Series at the University of Cambridge

Please see below the speaker list for our upcoming Lent Term East Asia Seminar Series at the University of Cambridge. This term, as you will notice, there are two talks outside of the normal Monday night pattern, we know it’s a bit out of the ordinary, but hope to see lots of you there. 

All talks will take place 17:00 – 19:00 in rooms 8/9, Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. As usual the talks will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A, then a chance to stay and have a chat with the speaker over drinks and a snack.

Summer internships at the Ringling Museum of Art, Florida

The Ringling Museum of Art is now accepting applications for the 2019 paid summer internship program. There are a number of possible projects for interns in the Asian department, so please encourage your grad students to apply. The internships are, unfortunately, restricted to applicants with current US visas allowing them to work in the US.
