The Endangered Archives Programme (EAP) and our regional hub, Jadavpur University, will be hosting a webinar on 12 April. It is aimed for people based in South Asia and who would like to learn more about the Programme and what we fund.
The webinar will provide an introduction to the Endangered Archived Programme by EAP Head Sam van Schaik and feature three EAP case studies in South Asia:
• Dr Appasamy Murugaiyan, Preservation of the Manuscripts of the Jaffna Bishop’s House (EAP700, EAP981 and EAP1222)
• Mr Nasir Javaid, Endangered Urdu periodicals (EAP839)
• Dr Carola Lorea, Songs of the Old Madmen: Recovering Baul Songs from the Note-Books of 19th and 20th Century Bengali Saint-Composers (EAP1247)
We will also share our vision for the EAP South Asia Hub at Jadavpur University as well as information on upcoming training opportunities.
