H-Asia is recruiting!
H-Asia is looking for editors circulating job ads and academic announcements.
The network is looking for two or three editors to take on duties and responsibilities on a voluntary basis.
We are looking for editors handling announcements and job ads:
- Announcements: we would welcome support with circulating academic announcements to our subscribers. This work is light and routine in nature, and can be particularly helpful to junior scholars looking to gain a broad view of the field. Duties include browsing H-Announce for relevant CfPs and annoucements and approving CfPs that come to our network through our discussion feed.
- Jobs: we would welcome support with circulating job ads from the H-Net Job Guide to our subscribers. This work is light and routine in nature, and can be particularly helpful to junior scholars looking to gain a broad view of the field. Duties include browsing the H-Net Job Guide for relevant ads.
A minimum of a two-year commitment is required for these roles. The work is entirely completed online and there are no required regular meetings or reports. New editors must complete an online technical course in order to learn the H-Net system.
It is an opportunity to get an insight on the network is run - and it coulda first step into developing new projects for the network.
