Summer School TOIndia – Call for applications

The fifth edition of the Summer School TOIndia will be held at the University of Turin from Monday 4 to Friday 8 July 2022.

The focus of the 2022 edition will be on Adivasi communities: the programme will deal with Adivasi from different points of view, from a historical contextualisation relating to colonial conceptualisation of tribalism, to environmental issues, as well as issues of economic marginalisation, under-representation, antagonism and conflict in nowadays India. The week will be concluded by a round table with Adivasi writers, poets, and publishers to discuss cultural representation, voice and language.

The teaching staff is composed of Vinita Damodaran, Felix Padel, Bengt Karlsson, Alf Gunval Nilsen, Raphaël Rousseleau, Luisa Steur, Alpa Shah, Ruby Hembrom, Hansda Parimal, Hansda Sowvendra Shekhar and Ganga Sahai Meena.

To encourage the participation of international students, the School also offer 5 scholarships that will cover accommodation costs.
