We are delighted to share the schedule for the East Asia Seminar Series at the University of Cambridge.

We have an exciting and varied line up of talks for Michaelmas Term 2022, with a few changes to the normal pattern. A full list of talks is included below and on the 'What's on' section of the faculty website.

Unless otherwise stated talks will start at 17.00 in Room 10 (the old Common Room) in the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. Talks are open to the public, but please be aware that seating is limited. It will also be possible to attend most talks online via Zoom. For Zoom registration links please go to the 'What's on' page of the faculty website or follow the links below. The screening of Miki Dezaki's film Shusenjo: The Main Battleground of the Comfort Women Issue will be in-person only and will take place at the McCrum Lecture Theatre, Corpus Christi College.

To kick off the series we have two talks next week. On Monday 10 October we welcome Prof Garren Mulloy who will be giving our first talk of the series. Then, on Thursday 13 October we are joined by Yuken Teruya for a special artist talk. Both will be held in Room 10 (the old Common Room) in the faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, and will be available to watch online via Zoom.

The Japanese Studies Group gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation towards this seminar series.

If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Best wishes,
