Seeking summer research assistant for work with Japanese-language sources Zdencanovic's picture

I am seeking a summer research assistant to work on a chapter of a book manuscript concerning the politics of social policy reform in the postwar US occupation of Japan. Pay is $35/hour, and I estimate the work would take approximately 40 hours. This would mostly entail writing up research notes on secondary materials (and perhaps some published primary materials such as digitized newspapers), as well as ensuring that all Japanese names and transliterations in the main body and in the footnotes are correct and standardized. I’d have a strong preference for a native-level Japanese speaker, and some preference for a historically-minded scholar who works on 20th-century US-Japan relations and/or Japanese politics and policy (although this isn’t required). All work would have to be completed and billed prior to August 31. Please contact with a CV.
