SHGAPE Fishel-Calhoun Prize

Dear Members,

 

The deadline to be considered for the Fishel-Calhoun Article Prize is fast approaching on December 15, 2017. The prize recognizes the best published article treating any aspect of U.S. history in the period 1865-1917.  The prize is open to new scholars, defined as graduate students or new PhDs (within 6 years of receipt of the PhD) who have not yet published a book.  Articles appearing in journals dated during the two years preceding the year of the award are eligible.  (This means articles published between Jan. 1, 2016 and Dec. 31, 2017.)

Conference Announcement: The Many 14th Amendments

We are pleased to announce that registration is live for the upcoming conference, "The Many 14th Amendments." It will take place at the University of Miami March 1-3, 2018, to make the 150th anniversary of the 14th Amendment.
