Open call for posts -- SHGAPE Blog

Chelsea Gibson Discussion

Call for bloggers!

Scholars working on the years between 1865 and 1920: Have some fascinating research or an unknown story from the archives to share? An experience in the classroom or a new exhibit that you’ve worked on? Has the past year made you think about the Gilded Age and Progressive Era differently? Have you come up with unique ways to overcome archival closings? We’re looking for blog posts from you! We’d love to have posts from independent scholars, public historians, graduate students, teachers, and professors on a wide range of topics. All topics and approaches are welcome.

The SHGAPE Blog attracts a broad public audience and we can’t wait to feature your work! You can meet the SHGAPE blog editors here, https://www.shgape.org/meet-the-editors/.

We typically publish pieces between 750 and 1500 words, but we are also interested in non-traditional formats including videos and graphic essays. You can find the style guide here, https://www.shgape.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/SHGAPE-Blog-Style-Guide-1.pdf
