The Society for Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era (SHGAPE) Invite Applicants for a Travel Grant to attend and particpate on a SHGAPE-panel at the annual meeting of the Organization fo American Historians
SHGAPE will offer grants of up to $1000 to support travel to the OAH for post-Ph.D. attendees with financial need who are appearing on SHGAPE-sponsored (or co-sponsored) panels. Grant recipients will also receive complimentary tickets to the SHGAPE luncheon at the OAH.
Anybody who would like to be considered for this funding should send the following to program chair Albert S. Broussard(a-broussard@tamu.edu):
-Name of your OAH panel
-Your mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, and affiliation
-Your paper prospectus (from the panel proposal)
-A one-page cv
-An estimated budget for attendance at the conference, which includes a statement of departmental or other sources of conference travel support
Winners will be selected by the SHGAPE program committee, on the basis of need and merit. The award may be divided among multiple recipients, at the program committee’s discretion. Grant recipients are required to join SHGAPE if they are not already members.
