Conference in Honor of Adam McKeown at Columbia Nov. 30-Dec. 1

How International, Transnational, and Global History Conquered the World

The Heyman Center, Columbia University, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, 2018

We are delighted to announce a conference honoring our late colleague Adam McKeown. All are welcome to attend. The Conference themes and program are described below.

Panel on Indigenous Peoples 2019 WHA Conference

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to organize a panel on the theme of indigenous peoples for the 2019 WHA Conference in San Juan. I am working on a Big History/World History study of the Lower Rio Grande Valley in which I consider the indigenous groups here comparatively with others in the region of the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean before and after contact with Europeans. I would look forward to collaborating with two more presenters working on topics about indigenous people and contact with Europeans in the New World or other relevant themes that would make for a cohesive panel.
