CFP: Military Responses to National Emergencies and Natural Disasters for the Journal of Advanced Military Studies

Call for submissions for the Spring 2022 issue of the Journal of Advanced Military Studies on topics related to the importance of the military in responding to national emergencies and natural disasters, including historical and contemporary examples.

Articles can cover both foreign and domestic uses of the U.S. military in disaster-response scenarios and deployment during national or international crises and emergencies. These topics can include articles on any branch of the U.S. military as well as any civil-military partnerships. Examples from particular disasters or national emergencies are welcome, including analyses of the responses.

The Journal of Advanced Military Studies is a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal, and submissions should be 4,000–10,000 words, footnoted, and formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition). Marine Corps University Press is also looking for book reviewers from international studies, political science, and contemporary history fields.
