Seeking Panelists for WHA Session Proposal - "Material Subcultures"

Dear colleagues,

The World History Association has put out a call for sessions for their June conference. The theme is material culture.

I am seeking historians, art historians, and anthropologists (preferably of color) who'd be interested in submitting something with as part of a session that explores subcultural identity construction, tentatively titled "Material Subcultures: Production and Consumption on the Margins." My research is on queer Euro/American pornography in the early twentieth century.

The deadline is in two weeks, but if you already have your own project, I think we can pull something together. If you deal with global subcultures, film and/or material culture (or know someone who does) please let me know! My email is
