The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers teaching, research or combination teaching and research awards in over 125 countries for the 2019-2020 academic year. Opportunities are available for college and university faculty as well as for professionals and independent scholars. Awards that may be of interest to the H-ANZAU community include:
Undertake research in your area of expertise at any appropriate institution in Australia for 3-4 months. A Ph.D. (or other terminal degree) is required for this award, as well as a letter of invitation.
Conduct research within the Defence Science and Technology Group or its partner institutions. DST is the Australian government’s lead agency responsible for applying science and technology to safeguard Australia and its national interests. Their many locations and partner institutions allow for a wide array of work and proposals. This award provides a contact at DST and is open to academics and professionals.
Undertake research in the areas of resources and energy at Curtin University, an international recognized leader in research related to geosciences and resource engineering. Open to applicants at the level of associate or full professor. A contact at Curtin University is provided to discuss projects and obtain the required letter of invitation.
Open to academics at the level of associate or full professor, CQUniversity seeks applications in all appropriate fields. Ranked in the top 2% of universities world-wide in the Times Higher Education World University rankings, the University is strategically focused on engagement and social innovation, undertaking change-maker research and delivering research impact across its broad geographical footprint.
Teach, conduct research, or undertake a project combining both activities at a New Zealand institution of your choice. Scholars will be asked to give public talks, and mentor students in addition to their primary activities to maximize their Fulbright experience. Ph.D. is strongly preferred for this opportunity.
