PhD Studentship on Street Dogs in India

We are pleased to announce a full PhD scholarship (UK or internationl fees, a three year stipend and fieldwork expenses) for a student-led project on everyday knowledges at the street-dogs health interface in India.

This Wellcome Trust studentship is part of an inter-disciplinary project on street dogs and public health in India: Remaking One Health: Decolonial approaches to street dogs and rabies prevention in India (ROH-Indies).

We welcome applications from those with a strong qualitative social science background, as well as a demonstrated interest in human-animal studies and in carrying out field research in India.

The primary supervisor is Dr Krithika Srinivasan (School of Geosciences, University of Edinburgh,UK) and the secondary one is Dr Chris Pearson (Department of History, University of Liverpool, UK).
