In light of the ongoing pandemic, the conference will be conducted online September 7-10, 2021. The organizing committee, based at Kyoto University, welcomes proposals from scholars around the world for panels and papers exploring any theme related to environmental history in East Asia.

The updated deadline for submitting paper and panel proposals is March 31, 2021. For complete information about the conference and instructions for submitting a proposal, visit the website for EAEH 2021.

The Association for East Asian Environmental History was founded in 2009 to promote cooperation among scholars working on all aspects of environmental history in East Asia.
