We are excited to announce the TB2 schedule for our Literary and Visual Landscapes seminar series. LVL is an interdisciplinary seminar series at the University of Bristol, established in 2012 with a broad focus on research into space and place. All are welcome, internal and beyond, so please feel free to circulate this information and flyer to anyone you think might be interested.
For our first instalment of the series we are hosting an interdisciplinary panel, showcasing the work of our wonderful environmental humanities PGRs here at Bristol. Vicky Coules, Austin Read and Hazel Streeter of the Centre for Environmental Humanities will be presenting on a wide range of landscape-infused topics, spanning the disciplines English Literature, Geography, Art History and Palaeontology. This session will take place in two weeks, on Wednesday 10th February, at the usual time of 4:30-6pm, on Zoom. Please do join us for three exciting papers, followed by Q&A.
Later this term we have also invited Professor Paul Readman from King’s College London and Dr Samantha Walton from Bath Spa University to present papers, of which the details can be found in the Eventbrite link.
Free tickets for all the upcoming seminars can be booked via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/literary-and-visual-landscapes-seminars-tb2-tickets-138251107785. A Zoom meeting link will be circulated to ticket-holders 24 hours in advance of each session.
We hope to see you there!
