I'm very pleased to announce the publication of Extinction in Public, a Special Section of Environmental Humanities. It features three articles.
- The first theorizes extinction and proposes some criticisms of the Extinction Studies project.
- The second addresses indigenous language reclamation, thereby framing the sixth extinction as a colonial legacy that is cultural as well as natural.
- The third looks to science fiction texts in order to reimagine the practice of palliation as a form of environmental death ethics.
